About the Japan Reproduction Rights Center (JRRC)

・Japan Reproduction Rights Center (JRRC)

JRRC's business is the centralized management of copyright, where it receives commissions from copyright holders of literary and other works to exercise their rights, and grants licenses to users such as companies and organizations. Since its establishment in 1991 (Heisei 3), it has contributed to the protection of rights and the facilitation of use.

Currently, it grants licenses based on copyright reproduction use agreements to approximately 5,550 entities, mainly government agencies and listed companies. In fiscal year 2025, total usage fee revenue reached approximately 890 million yen, and by distributing this to rights holders, we promote the lawful use of copyrighted works.

For the "JRRC Comprehensive Licensing Agreement," which allows for consolidated contracts for the reproduction and use of various domestic copyrighted works such as newspapers, magazines, academic papers, and artworks, please refer to the link below.
