The Japan RV Association (JRVA, President: Kenji Araki, Location: Yokohama, Kanagawa) announced that the number of certified RV Parks—designated spaces where people can camp in their vehicles comfortably and safely—reached 644 nationwide as of June 1, 2026. In May 2026, 10 new RV Parks were certified, expanding travel options for the upcoming summer season. Newly certified facilities include: 'RV Park Tanuki no Sato, Mukoujima' in Yamaguchi Prefecture offering views of the Seto Inland Sea; 'RV Park Shinji Otoohama' in Fukushima Prefecture with access to beaches, hiking, and hot springs; and 'RV Park Kanuma Vamo Field - Kanoh no Mori' in Tochigi Prefecture surrounded by nature. Other new locations are Sakura Dog Garden RV Park Akita (Akita), Kikonai Misogi no Oka RV Park (Hokkaido), RV Park Shimogamo Onsen Campground Bonne Journee (Shizuoka), RV Park Kamiishizu Base (Gifu), RV Park Hikawahama (Ibaraki), RV Park Tenzan Taku Onsen TAQUA (Saga), and RV Park Niikappu (Hokkaido).
