JTEKT Wins Technology Development Award at the 76th JSAE Awards for Steer-by-Wire System

JTEKT Corporation (Headquarters: Kariya, Aichi; President: Yoshito Kondo) has been awarded the Technology Development Award at the 76th JSAE Awards, hosted by the Society of Automotive Engineers of Japan (JSAE), for its steer-by-wire system. The JSAE Awards were established in 1951 to encourage the advancement of automotive engineering and technology. The Technology Development Award specifically honors individuals and co-developers who have created new products or technologies that contribute to the development of automotive technology. JTEKT pioneered the mass production of electric power steering in 1988. Looking toward the future of mobility, the company has developed "Syncusteer™," a linkless steer-by-wire system that eliminates mechanical connections between the steering unit and the steering actuator.
