KDDI and JCB Launch "Japan SIM for MyJapan+" eSIM for Inbound Tourists via povo2.0

KDDI and KDDI Digital Life, in partnership with JCB, are launching the "Japan SIM for MyJapan+" data-only eSIM for inbound tourists in June 2026. The service will be available via JCB's "MyJapan+" app, providing a seamless alternative to roaming. Four unlimited data plans are offered at special campaign prices, including a 24-hour plan for 330 JPY, 3-day for 770 JPY, 5-day for 1,255 JPY, and 7-day for 1,695 JPY. Users can easily sign up through the app using a Taiwan phone number and JCB card, and download the eSIM profile before traveling to Japan to use the au 5G network upon arrival.
