Kakuichi, Oyama Town, and Shizugin Lease Sign Partnership Agreement for Zero Carbon City Realization

Kakuichi Co., Ltd. (President and CEO, Rio Tanaka) has signed a "Partnership Agreement for Social Experiments towards a Zero Carbon City through Local Production and Consumption of Oyama Town Energy" with Oyama Town (Mayor, Masahide Komiyama) and Shizugin Lease Co., Ltd. (President and CEO, Norinobu Wakabayashi).

This agreement aims to realize sustainable town development promoted by Oyama Town, by creating and locally consuming energy utilizing regional resources, while also strengthening disaster prevention and resilience.

Our company will leverage its on-site technical expertise and implementation capabilities, cultivated through diverse businesses such as garages, hoses, water, and energy, to promote the introduction and construction of community-based renewable energy utilization models.

Main Contents of the Agreement

・ Promotion of creation and local consumption of Oyama Town energy

・ Optimization of energy utilization within the region

・ Strengthening disaster prevention functions and improving resilience

Future Developments

Based on this agreement, social experiments will be gradually implemented, taking into account the regional characteristics of Oyama Town, with the aim of building a sustainable regional model that achieves both decarbonization and disaster prevention.

Furthermore, we aim to establish this model as a "reproducible mechanism" that can be expanded to other regions, contributing to solving regional issues and creating social value.
