Kanamic Network Announces MOU with Singaporean Elderly Care Providers to Jointly Develop AI-Powered Solutions

Kanamic Network has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to launch a pilot project for the joint development of AI-powered elderly care solutions in partnership with local providers in Singapore.

This project is part of the 'Japan-Singapore Strategic Partnership' jointly declared by the prime ministers of both countries. Kanamic Network, which promotes Digital Transformation (DX) and AI in Japan's elderly care sector, will collaborate with major Singaporean nursing care providers, Kwong Wai Shiu Hospital (KWSH) and Lions Befrienders (LB), to develop specialized professional software solutions.

Background of the Press Conference The press conference held at Marina Bay Sands was attended by Senior Minister of State Tan Kiat How as the guest of honor and Japanese Ambassador Hiroshi Ishikawa as a special guest. As Singapore enters a 'super-aging society,' optimizing the allocation of healthcare and nursing staff has become a critical challenge. By integrating Kanamic's AI solutions with local operational expertise, the collaboration aims to innovate 'smart workflows' grounded in clinical settings.

Associate Professor Kelvin Tan Cheng Kian from the Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS) has been appointed as a consultant for this initiative.

Focus Areas of the Pilot Project The one-year joint development pilot will focus on verifying AI functions optimized for local needs. Specifically, it will test smart voice-to-text transcription, daily schedule management, and automated task handoffs among multi-disciplinary teams, focusing on: 1. Reducing administrative burden: Automating documentation and internal processes. 2. Care team collaboration: Building systems for accurate and comprehensive care. 3. Optimizing personnel efficiency: Streamlining workflows and staff-to-patient allocation ratios.
