Kanmu Inc. (Shibuya-ku, Tokyo, Representative Director, Executive Officer, CEO: Wataru Yamaki) has added a new feature to the Visa prepaid card app "Bandle Card" as part of its renewal project "Re: Bandle Card." This feature makes it easier to grasp "money available now" by taking into account planned future expenses.
The newly added features include "Registering Plans," which allows users to pre-register planned expenses, and "Let's Try List," which introduces features within the Bandle Card app and useful ways to use them. With "Registering Plans," users will be notified via push notification if there is a possibility of insufficient balance before the payment date.
On the occasion of Bandle Card's 10th anniversary, we are promoting the service renewal project "Re: Bandle Card."
Until now, Bandle Card has supported daily payment experiences as a Visa prepaid card that can be issued instantly from the app. With this update, we are expanding the user experience to include planned future expenses in addition to daily payments.
In recent years, with the spread of cashless payments and the increase in subscription services, the timing of expenses has become more dispersed. Therefore, there are increasing situations where it is difficult to determine "money available now" based solely on the current balance, without considering planned future expenses.
Under the concept of "Towards an experience where money options connect naturally," "Re: Bandle Card" aims to make everyday money experiences more natural, easier to use, and clearer, starting with payments.
As part of this update, we are providing an experience that allows users to better grasp "money available now" by including not only their current balance but also planned future expenses. We are also adding pathways to naturally discover useful features and usage methods within the app.
About the newly added features
1. Registering Plans
"Registering Plans" is a feature that makes it easier to understand the money available now by pre-registering planned future expenses. It also notifies users via push notification if there is a possibility of insufficient balance before the registered payment date.
Users can easily register planned expenses such as social gatherings, trips, shopping, and regular payments within the app. Registered plans are compared against the current balance, and users can receive notifications to charge if necessary. This allows users to be aware of potential shortfalls in advance and charge early, rather than realizing a lack of funds just before payment.
By pre-registering the details, amounts, and payment dates of future expenses, it becomes easier to understand the money available now.
2. Let's Try List
Through the "Re: Bandle Card" project, Bandle Card plans to sequentially expand its daily money-related features and experiences. To ensure these convenient features are fully utilized, the "Let's Try List" clearly introduces in-app features and useful usage methods based on the user's usage status. For first-time users, it guides them through basic actions like "Let's try charging," providing a natural way to encounter Bandle Card's features and new usage methods.
New features that are added periodically, and convenient features that have not yet been used, will be introduced according to the user's usage status. It can be used as a pathway to naturally discover in-app features and new usage methods.
Future Outlook
We will continue to advance the creation of services that naturally connect various aspects of daily finances, starting with payments, through the "Re: Bandle Card" project.
We will continuously update the Bandle Card user experience to enable users to manage their daily finances more clearly, naturally, and without strain.
