In this plan, to balance the growth of its core gummy business with environmental impact reduction, Kanro will introduce a state-of-the-art gummy production line at its Asahi Factory. This will increase added value, with the goal of improving company-wide carbon productivity by 21.4% or more, and Asahi Factory's carbon productivity by 2.1%, between fiscal years 2026 and 2028. As a manufacturer primarily engaged in food production, and because the gummy production line related to its core business is the subject of this plan, Kanro has been certified for 'Business Adaptation for Reducing Environmental Impact of Energy Use.'
