Kobe Airport to Hold Summer Early Morning Runway Walk!

Kansai Airports Kobe Co., Ltd. is pleased to announce the 'Summer Early Morning Runway Walk' event at Kobe Airport on Saturday, July 18, 2026.

This event is designed to help elementary and junior high school students become more familiar with airports and aircraft. On the day, participants will walk on the runway, which is normally off-limits, in the early morning before airport operations begin. They will be able to view parked aircraft and chemical fire trucks. Staff from airlines operating at Kobe Airport and the Kansai Airports Group official character 'Sorayan' are also scheduled to participate, making this a special experience. Furthermore, to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the airport's opening on February 16, 2026, participants will receive an original 20th-anniversary gift.

The Kansai Airports Group will continue to work on initiatives that are enjoyable for customers, aiming to deliver the appeal of airports and travel to even more people.

○ Date and Time: Saturday, July 18, 2026, 4:45 AM - 6:30 AM (Reception from 4:15 AM)

○ Location: Kobe Airport Restricted Area

○ Target: Elementary and junior high school students (Must be accompanied by a guardian aged 20 or older)

○ Capacity: Maximum 100 participants (Up to 4 people per group)

○ Participation Fee: Free

○ Notes: ・Public transportation is not operating due to the early morning hours. Participation is limited to those who can come by car or other private vehicle.

・If coming by car, a separate parking fee (150 yen/hour) is required.

・The event may be changed or cancelled due to bad weather or other facility management reasons.
