Nihon Kogakuin Hachioji College (Principal: Eiji Nakamura) will host an event titled 'Learn from Pros! Job Challenge Classroom' on Thursday, August 6, offering elementary school students 15 diverse programs to experience and discover future careers firsthand (Supported by: Hachioji City Board of Education).

Participation is free, and registration will be open from Wednesday, July 15 to Friday, July 24 via the official website (https://www.neec.ac.jp/event/kids-challenge/hachioji/ – site opens July 15), on a first-come, first-served basis.

This initiative, first launched in 2007 by our comprehensive vocational school with 6 colleges and 36 departments, marks its 16th edition (Note 1). The event has been well-received for its hands-on programs utilizing our school’s professional instructors, practical training equipment, and facilities that directly connect to real-world professions.

Additionally, over 50 current students from our college will participate as support staff, aiming to cultivate a sense of social contribution.

This year, 15 diverse programs themed around careers such as television production, game creators, designers, Vocaloid producers (VocaloP), K-POP artists, sports trainers, IT engineers, robotics engineers, children’s authors, and gardeners will be offered in two sessions: morning and afternoon.

(Note 1) The event name and format have varied slightly by year.
