Behind the Scenes of the 'Bullet Experiment' in Chiang Mai

Although the shooting was done in a limited time, it was also a battle against the rain. During the rainy season in Chiang Mai, it's not unusual for sudden downpours to occur, and the weather forecast was completely unreliable.

Even looking at Google's weather forecast, the weather was a combination of sunny, rainy, cloudy, and thunderstorm icons, which is something we've never seen in Japan, and the shooting was tense in various ways.

Project Background: Innovation and Challenge of an Established Company Pursuing the Potential of Cardboard

Sakura Paxx Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Toyama City, Toyama Prefecture) is a cardboard and packaging manufacturer established in 1947. It boasts a high reputation in the Hokuriku region and has grown into a company with sales of 10 billion yen and more than 350 employees. In recent years, it has received numerous awards, including the WPO 'World Star Award,' both domestically and internationally, and is attracting attention for its innovative product development. It is an established company that pursues the potential of cardboard.

On the other hand, while cardboard is an indispensable material in our lives for moving, delivery, and disaster situations, it is difficult for its technology and value to be properly evaluated due to the image of being a 'disposable item.' Amidst the progress of a declining birthrate and aging population and a labor shortage, securing human resources in the cardboard industry is also an urgent issue.

Therefore, Sakura Paxx has planned a challenge-type content with the theme 'How far can cardboard endure?' on its founding anniversary. While re-recognizing the importance of familiar materials, the aim is to convey the significance and appeal of the cardboard industry to the younger generation.
