au Denki Expands Benefits to All-Electric Plans: 5,000 Yen Reward for New Sign-ups

au Energy & Life Co., Ltd. announced that effective June 1, 2026, it will expand its current new sign-up benefits for 'au Denki' to include all-electric plans. To help more customers save on electricity, the company will provide a 5,000 yen (tax-exempt) equivalent credit to au PAY balances for web sign-ups, and up to a 5,000 yen (excluding tax) discount for in-store sign-ups. Since all-electric homes tend to have higher electricity consumption compared to gas-combined homes, the demand for such rewards is high, leading to this expansion. The campaign period begins June 1, 2026, with no end date set. For web sign-ups, the credit is applied about three months after the start of service; for in-store sign-ups, the discount is applied to the third month's bill. The Okinawa area is excluded. A cancellation fee may apply if the service is terminated within 12 months.
