This plan is in conjunction with the exhibition "Vermeer 'Girl with a Pearl Earring' Exhibition: Masterpieces of 17th Century Dutch Painting, A Miraculous Return to Japan" (Organizers: National Museum of Art, Osaka; The Asahi Shimbun; ABC Television), which will be held from August 21, 2026 (Fri) at the National Museum of Art, Osaka.

This exhibition marks a very rare opportunity for Vermeer's masterpiece, "Girl with a Pearl Earring," to visit Japan for the first time in 14 years since the exhibition in 2012, which attracted approximately 1.2 million visitors. The exhibition will be held for a limited period of about five weeks in Osaka only. THE THOUSAND KYOTO has prepared an accommodation plan with an exhibition ticket for stays in our Premier Suites.

Access to the National Museum of Art, Osaka is smooth via the station loop bus from in front of the hotel, taking the Keihan Line from Shichijo Station. Additionally, for hotel guests and restaurant patrons, the hotel offers an "Art Tour" every morning at 10:00 AM, where a concierge introduces representative artworks within the hotel, allowing guests to feel close to art even within the hotel premises. The approximately 300 artworks displayed within THE THOUSAND KYOTO are inspired by Kyoto's culture of incorporating "natural changes and beauty." Based on the design concept materials of "green and light," the theme is the scenery of swaying in the wind and the comfort that changes with the seasons. Please enjoy the various artworks that express Kyoto and nature through diverse materials and techniques, including "wind_form," which skillfully controls wind and light and can be considered a symbol of THE THOUSAND KYOTO.
