Art merchandise maker Kenelephant Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, President: Kenzo Ishiyama) will host the VINYL GALLERY vol.123 BURUMORI Solo Exhibition 'PLAY' from April 10 (Fri) to April 27 (Mon), 2026, at 'VINYL', a gallery operated inside Gransta Tokyo within the ticket gates of JR Tokyo Station.

This exhibition marks the first joint project between VINYL GALLERY, operated by Kenelephant, and the artist BURUMORI, who depicts characters struggling to live earnestly, featuring a black hamster (BURUMORI) as the main character under the themes of 'affirming weakness' and 'sadistic tendencies'.

In line with the title 'PLAY', the exhibition will feature BURUMORI artworks that show a genuine interest and wholehearted enjoyment of playing.

In addition to the main canvas artworks, new original VINYL merchandise such as T-shirts, sticker sets, and tote bags, as well as a mascot of the black hamster (BURUMORI), will also be sold.

Details regarding new merchandise will be announced regularly on the official VINYL Instagram account (https://www.instagram.com/vinylgallery_tokyo/).

Furthermore, alongside the physical store, artworks and merchandise are scheduled to be available for purchase at the official online store 'KENELE STORE' (https://kenelestore.jp/) starting at 10:00 AM on Friday, April 17, 2026.

[Overview of VINYL GALLERY vol.123 BURUMORI Solo Exhibition 'PLAY'] ■ Dates: April 10 (Fri) – April 27 (Mon), 2026 ■ Venue: VINYL GALLERY (1F Gransta Tokyo, inside JR East Tokyo Station, 1-9-1 Marunouchi, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo 100-0005) ■ Artist: BURUMORI Started creating art in 2022 under the themes of 'affirming weakness' and 'sadistic tendencies'. Using the overwhelmingly weak existence of a hamster as the main character, BURUMORI views negative emotions such as the grudge and envy the 'weak' hold against the 'strong' as pure human sentiments. Believing that these sentiments have the potential to act as a deterrent to violence in the real world, the artworks depict the 'aftermath of oppression/premonition of impending violence' and the earnest struggle to survive.
