KENELE BOOKS, a publishing label operated by art and goods manufacturer Kenelephant Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President: Kenzo Ishiyama), will release the second volume of their original IP 'Pokkoshi' picture book series, 'Pokkoshi Ukie-Ukie Summer Vacation!', on May 29, 2026.
Prior to the release, a commemorative pop-up event will be held at 'REBEL BOOKS' in Takasaki, Gunma, from May 23, 2026, to June 7, 2026.
'Pokkoshi' is Kenelephant's first original IP character, featuring designs by plush artist Munyu. These characters are quirky yet adorable beings inhabiting a parallel world.
The theme of this second book is 'Summer Vacation.' It depicts the Pokkoshi characters enjoying their summer days, such as swimming at the beach, mimicking sunflowers, and catching insects.
Like the first volume, it is an interactive book combining plush-like pages created by Munyu with die-cut pages, allowing characters to pop out when pages are overlapped.
The pop-up event will feature early sales of the picture book, along with the sale of related merchandise and an exhibition of original fabric artwork.
