Kenko Tokina Renews Three Standard Cross Filters: "PRO1D Lotus R-Cross", "PRO1D Lotus R-Snow Cross", and "PRO1D Lotus R-Sunny Cross"

Kenko Tokina Co., Ltd. (President: Tadashi Sakurai) announces the renewal of three standard cross filters, "PRO1D Lotus R-Cross," "PRO1D Lotus R-Snow Cross," and "PRO1D Lotus R-Sunny Cross," which adopt water-repellent and oil-repellent coatings. Sales will commence on June 19, 2026.

The manufacturer's suggested retail prices (excluding tax) range from ¥6,800 (excluding tax, 49mm size) to ¥14,000 (excluding tax, 82mm size) for each type.

We are upgrading three of Kenko's standard cross filters and releasing them under the PRO1D Lotus series. The "PRO1D Lotus" series features a water-repellent and oil-repellent coating, allowing for easy wiping even if dirt adheres. Cross filters make point light sources, such as illuminations, sparkle with a cross effect. "PRO1D Lotus R-Cross" has a 4-line cross effect, "PRO1D Lotus R-Snow Cross" has a 6-line effect, and "PRO1D Lotus R-Sunny Cross" has an 8-line effect. These filters are effective not only for night scenes and illuminations but also for point light sources like fireworks, starry skies, reflections on water surfaces, sunbeams filtering through trees, and accessories. They make light sparkle fantastically, adding an accent to your photos.

Making Point Light Sources Shine with a Cross Effect Fine grooves are etched on the surface of the filter glass, which create light streaks and make point light sources sparkle when present in the subject.

Adjust the Cross Angle by Rotating the Front Frame By rotating the front frame (rotating frame), you can freely change the angle of the cross effect. Please adjust to your preferred angle while checking the balance between the subject and the light lines through the viewfinder or LCD monitor.
