Key points of the Livability Ranking: Hara Village in Nagano Prefecture ranked 1st, followed by Obuse Town in Nagano Prefecture. Showa Town in Yamanashi Prefecture ranked 3rd for the second consecutive year. Hara Village, designated as a 'Nagano Prefecture Migration Model District,' reclaimed the top spot due to its accessibility to both Tokyo and Nagoya and active support for new residents.

Key points of the Desired Residential Area Ranking: Niigata City, Niigata Prefecture, ranked 1st for the fifth consecutive year, followed by Tokyo's 23 wards. 78.0% of respondents expressed satisfaction with their current city, with 59.9% stating they have no particular preference for other areas and 18.1% wishing to continue living in their current city.
