Kawatoyo Honten Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: 386 Nakamachi, Narita City, Chiba Prefecture; Representative Director: Kosumi Ito) announces that at 'Kawatoyo Bekkan' (113-1 Higashimachi, Narita City, Chiba Prefecture), the annex of the long-established eel restaurant 'Kawatoyo' on Naritasan Omotesando, one year has passed since the start of the eel farming business conducted jointly with KIDS HOLDINGS Co., Ltd. and Fujinami Lumber Co., Ltd. As an initiative for the second year of farming in 2026, approximately 2kg (about 10,000) of glass eels have been introduced, and full-scale rearing is underway.

This business is a regional circular initiative aiming to 'raise the eels consumed in Narita locally.' We anticipate shipping the very first 'Narita Unagi' as early as next month, and we also plan to hold a tasting event.
