KLD Inc. (Headquarters: Itoshima City, Fukuoka Prefecture, CEO: Kenta Ito) has launched a new retail format called "KLKL" and opened its first POP-UP STORE in the Tenjin Chikagai underground shopping mall in Fukuoka on July 1, 2026.

KLKL was created as a sales channel to deliver products at price points that were previously difficult to offer through KLD's own e-commerce or flagship store "KLD TOKYO," while maintaining the brand concept of "QUALITY REUSABLES."

A New Sales Channel Born from the Field

Through initiatives such as multiple POP-UP events at "Kyudai Ito Tsutaya Books," KLD has been testing the offline sale of products at accessible price points.

What became clear during this process was that regardless of the price range, customers are looking for "quality they can choose with confidence."

Furthermore, we confirmed that products whose appeal could not be fully conveyed online were well-received by many customers in a physical sales space where they could be handled and chosen, leading to them finding new owners.

Based on these repeated demonstrations, KLKL was launched as a new business.

The first POP-UP STORE will be located in the Tenjin Chikagai, a central commercial area in Tenjin, Kyushu's largest commercial district.

Tenjin Chikagai is a representative commercial space in Kyushu, directly connected to many commercial facilities and office buildings, including Tenjin Station, Tenjin-Minami Station on the subway, and Nishitetsu Fukuoka (Tenjin) Station, with approximately 200,000 to 300,000 people passing through daily.

A Format Born from "QUALITY REUSABLES"

KLD receives clothing from many customers every day.

Many of these are high-quality items entrusted to us by customers who have cherished their fashion.

On the other hand, our e-commerce process involves many steps for each item: photography, measurement, description writing, storage, order processing, and shipping. Therefore, there were many items that, despite having no issues with their quality, were difficult to commercialize on e-commerce due to the balance between their selling price and the associated costs.

However, these are by no means low-value products.

In an offline sales space where customers can physically handle items, try them on, and make intuitive choices, there are many products whose appeal can be fully conveyed and which can be passed on to new owners.

Being unable to fully commercialize such items until now has been one of KLD's challenges.

KLKL is a new sales channel created to solve this problem.

Instead of the sales method determining the value of a product, we choose the optimal sales method for that product.

This is KLKL's philosophy.

"More freely, more casually."

KLKL is a brand with a pop and approachable worldview, distinct from KLD.

We aim to be a place where customers can enjoy the serendipity of finding a unique piece and feel that reuse is more free and more accessible.

We hope it will serve as an entry point for customers who have not previously interacted with KLD to experience the value of "QUALITY REUSABLES."
