Photos and Text / Hajime Nakamura Born in Mie Prefecture in 1956. Graduated from Seijo University and joined Toba Aquarium. He served from sea lion trainer to head of the planning department and then vice director. He demonstrated his skills as a key figure in the sea otter boom, in addition to providing footage for TBS programs like 'Waku Waku Dobutsu Land' and 'Doubutsu Kiso Tengai.' After going independent in 2002, he has been active as a 'visitor attraction consultant.' He has led numerous facilities to miraculous visitor increases through unique marketing strategies and innovative exhibits that turn weaknesses into strengths, such as at 'Shin-Enoshima Aquarium,' 'Sunshine Aquarium,' and 'The Great North's Aquarium.'
