This summer, the wildly popular manga 'BLUE LOCK' is finally being adapted into a live-action film. The four main cast members—Takahashi Meya, Sakurai Kaito, Takahashi Kyohei (Naniwa Danshi), and K (&TEAM)—appear on the special edition cover of ViVi's September issue (released July 23)! The 9-page cover story, titled 'Blue Flame -Ao no Honoo-', highlights their deep passion for the project. Beyond words, their dedication shines through their performances and demeanor. This feature spotlights the quiet yet intense 'blue flame' burning within each of them.

For this photoshoot, the four wore new looks from CELINE, provided by ViVi, and effortlessly commanded the lens with their powerful presence. Their sophisticated, fashion-forward expressions offer a different side from their on-screen characters. Once the group interview began, the atmosphere turned lively and warm, resembling an actual film set. Clearly enjoying the joint interview, they exchanged jokes and laughter with ease, revealing their close bond throughout the energetic session.

Takahashi Meya, who plays protagonist Isagi Yoichi, was praised for his leadership, always ensuring smooth communication and supporting his co-stars—earning him the nickname 'Isagi-level awareness.' Sakurai Kaito, portraying Kirisaki Rai, is a former futsal national team member who won international championships in high school, impressing his castmates with his authentic soccer skills—dubbed 'Real Kirisaki.' Takahashi Kyohei, who plays Chigiri Senma, is such a huge fan of the original manga that he's read it 'five times.' Upon receiving the role, he felt both excitement and pressure, but when he pulled the highest rarity Chigiri in a game gacha, he felt it was fate: 'Maybe this role was meant for me.' K, in his first film role, shared that he couldn't have made it through without Meya, as they stayed late every night to rehearse together. The cast’s camaraderie extends off-set—K even gifted Kyohei the glasses he wanted for his birthday.
