Extension of 'Shoukai Kon' Campaign Period Announced Until July 31, 2026

The Japan Marriage Support Association (Minato-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Koki Goto) has decided to extend the campaign period of its ongoing 'Encounter Support Campaign' for the public matchmaking service 'Shoukai Kon' from the initially planned June 30, 2026, to Friday, July 31, 2026, due to strong public support.

Additionally, the campaign benefit of waiving the usual setting fee of 3,000 yen (tax included) will continue until Monday, August 31, 2026.

Through this campaign, the association aims to create an accessible and secure environment for individuals seriously considering marriage to begin their marriage-seeking journey with reduced financial burden.

Background of the Campaign Extension

In recent years, rising living costs have led more singles to seek ways to minimize expenses related to marriage activities. At the same time, concerns persist regarding dating apps, such as difficulty in gauging a partner’s seriousness about marriage and the desire to meet someone trustworthy in a safe environment.

In response to these challenges, the Japan Marriage Support Association has been promoting 'Shoukai Kon,' a one-on-one matchmaking service based on mutual commitment to marriage, to create a secure and reliable environment for meaningful connections. The campaign was launched to reduce financial barriers and encourage more people to take the first step toward marriage.

Shared Intent for Marriage as the Foundation of a Relationship

In marriage-seeking activities, it is essential not only to share similar values but also to mutually confirm the intention to get married. Among singles, attitudes toward relationships vary widely—some seek casual dating, others are marriage-minded, and some have little interest in marriage. Starting a relationship without aligned goals often leads to mismatched expectations in the future.

'Shoukai Kon' introduces individuals who both explicitly seek marriage, supporting connections that can confidently evolve into serious, future-oriented relationships.
