Tsuruoka National College of Technology, with the support of NTT East Yamagata Branch, has launched a demonstration experiment of a pest detection system on campus. Amidst frequent sightings of bears and wild boars, the project aims to ensure the safety of students and staff. The system uses infrared sensors and AI analysis to automatically identify wild animals and notify administrators in real-time. Future plans include improving detection accuracy and integrating the project into educational and research activities.
