Former Nadeshiko League Player Launches Business in Shintomi, Miyazaki: A Second Career Dedicated to Community Health

The Koyu Regional Development Organization (Shintomi, Miyazaki; Representative Director: Keiji Okamoto; hereafter 'Koyu Foundation') is dedicated to creating a sustainable future for the region by supporting diverse challenges and activities in Shintomi. Mizuki Tameyasu, who played for the top-tier amateur women's soccer club 'Viamateras Miyazaki' until the 2024 season, opened the 'CORE FIRST Seitai' (chiropractic/bodywork and personal training facility) in Shintomi on May 1, 2026. In Shintomi, which promotes 'regional revitalization through female athletes' centered on Viamateras Miyazaki, a cycle is emerging where retired female athletes contribute their expertise back to the community. Viamateras Miyazaki was established in 2020 as a women's soccer club utilizing the 'Regional Revitalization Cooperation Squad' system. Tameyasu played for the team from 2022 through the end of the 2024 season. As a member of the cooperation squad, she became a familiar face to local residents and received warm support. Having obtained a national certification as a 'Judo Therapist' during her university years, Tameyasu is qualified to perform bodywork and personal training. After providing care and advice to her teammates, she opened 'CORE FIRST Seitai' on May 1, 2026, to give back to the community that supported her. The name 'CORE FIRST' reflects the goal of strengthening the body's core and returning to a state where one can move freely. The facility provides bodywork to restore the body and personal training to regain mobility, supporting the health of residents. With a motto of 'Don't give up because of age,' the facility serves seniors, children, and athletes alike. Tameyasu expressed her gratitude, stating, 'I want to give back to the community that supported me throughout my playing career by using my expertise as a Judo Therapist and my experience as an athlete to help everyone stay healthy and active.'
