The popular 'Lychee Collection' by fragrance brand FERNANDA returns this year, utilizing lychees grown in Shintomi Town, Miyazaki Prefecture. The products are available at FERNANDA directly-managed stores, the official online shop, and variety shops nationwide. The products have also appeared at the 'Koyu Agricultural Produce Direct Sales Shop Lupin' in Shintomi Town, attracting attention as a product that leverages local specialty items.

A Sustainable Fragrance Utilizing 'Discarded Fruit'

The Lychee Collection is part of FERNANDA's 'Sustainable Fragrance' initiative. It uses 'discarded' lychees grown at the Moriryoku-en farm in Shintomi Town, Miyazaki Prefecture. Extract is processed and incorporated from lychees that would otherwise not reach the market due to shipping standards. They deliver the fruit's charm in a new form: 'scent.'

The Fresh and Refreshing Scent of the 'Lychee Collection'

Launched in 2022, the Lychee Collection is currently featuring 20 limited-edition items as of April 17. This year, the 'Mini Fragrance Set' and 'Premium Hair Mist' have been added.

In particular, the 'Mini Fragrance Set,' which includes an Eau de Parfum and a mini-sized hand cream, offers a fresh and refreshing scent, allowing users to enjoy it casually in daily life. It is ideal for both personal use and as a gift.

Spreading the Charm of Shintomi Town Lychees Through 'Scent'

Shintomi Town lychees are cultivated with great care by producers. Through FERNANDA's Lychee Collection, their appeal is spreading nationwide not only through 'eating' but also through 'scent.'

For those who find it difficult to travel to Shintomi Town, Miyazaki Prefecture, the brand hopes this fragrance will serve as a gateway to discover the charm of the town and its lychees.

About Koyu Region Development Promotion Organization (Koyu Foundation)

Established in April 2017 by Shintomi Town, Miyazaki Prefecture, the organization acts as a regional trading company. They work on branding the 'Shintomi Lychee' (sold at 1,000 yen per fruit), hometown tax (furusato nozei) initiatives, and entrepreneur cultivation. The town of 15,000 people has reached a cumulative total of 15 billion yen in hometown tax donations over the nine years since its establishment. They promote 'community building where challenges circulate,' where immigrants, including the Community Revitalization Cooperation Squad, blend into the town and create new challenges one after another.

Using donations from the hometown tax, they reinvest a portion into the region and work on creating value through the use of town resources and idle assets. They aim to create a system where value is sustainably generated while重ね aligning the potential of people and the region.
