Kudan Inc. (CEO: Tomo Ohrain), a leading company in artificial intelligence and robotics spatial awareness, has announced a collaboration with Zhejiang MRDVS Technology Co., Ltd. (MRDVS), a leader in the industrial 3D vision and mobile robotics field.

In this collaboration, Kudan will integrate its Visual SLAM technology, 'KdVisual,' into MRDVS’s smart sensor modules. The goal is to provide robust on-module spatial intelligence for robots and industrial fleets operating in indoor, outdoor, and mixed environments.

As robotics and autonomous systems evolve into the era of Physical AI, machines are required to do more than recognize objects; they need to understand their own position, movement status, and the surrounding 3D environment in real-time.

Through this partnership, MRDVS will incorporate KdVisual into its smart sensor modules to enhance real-time on-module self-localization. By combining MRDVS’s advanced 3D vision hardware with Kudan’s robust Visual SLAM software, the companies aim to offer scalable spatial intelligence that can be processed directly within the sensor module.

On-module processing reduces reliance on cloud connections and external computing resources, minimizing latency and improving operational continuity. This allows robots to maintain stable positioning performance even in environments where network connectivity is limited or unstable.

Kudan’s KdVisual is a commercial-grade Visual SLAM software designed to deliver robust self-localization even in challenging real-world environments, including dynamic spaces that change over time. Both companies intend to leverage their respective sales networks and partner ecosystems to support global expansion.
