Kukulcan (Headquarters: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Hong Rina) announced that it signed a 'Partnership and Cooperation Agreement' with Okuma Town, Futaba District, Fukushima Prefecture, on April 6, 2026. This agreement aims to promote regional problem-solving, agricultural revitalization, and disaster recovery in Okuma Town through agricultural technologies such as Kukulcan's AI-based harvest forecasting and demand-linked matching. Fifteen years after the Great East Japan Earthquake, new activities are returning to Okuma Town, but challenges such as waste loss of non-standard agricultural products and unstable sales channels remain. Since its founding in 2024, Kukulcan has been addressing these issues. Following participation in the 2023 'OIC Cleantech Challenge' and subsequent pilot projects under a Fukushima Prefecture support program, the company has deepened its relationship with the town. Through this agreement, Kukulcan will fully support zero-waste agriculture, stabilize income for new farmers, and expand sales channels.
