Kyash Inc. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Shinichi Takatori; hereinafter 'the Company') has entered into a capital and business alliance agreement with Giftee Inc. (Headquarters: Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo; CEOs: Mutsumi Ota, Tatsuya Suzuki; hereinafter 'Giftee'). Following this funding, the Company's cumulative fundraising total has exceeded 15 billion yen.

Through this alliance, the Company will combine its proprietary Visa issuance and payment processing infrastructure with the disbursement solutions of 'giftee for Business,' Giftee's service for corporations and local governments utilizing digital gifts. By doing so, both companies aim to realize value delivery that is easier for recipients to accept and more aligned with the objectives of customers in areas such as local government disbursement measures, corporate welfare and incentive schemes, and ongoing regional support initiatives. This will provide society with new value movement experiences that could not be achieved independently, with speed and scale.

Background of the Capital and Business Alliance

In Japan, there is a strong demand for more flexible and efficient mechanisms for 'delivering money and value' in all situations, such as salary, welfare, government disbursements, B2B payments, sales promotion, and loyalty programs.

Since its founding in 2015, the Company has pursued the mission of 'creating infrastructure for value movement' and has built technology and operational foundations that allow it to handle everything from Visa prepaid card issuance to payment processing and wallet applications in-house.

Giftee operates an e-gift platform business connecting individuals, corporations, and local governments through its four services: the 'eGift System' for issuing and distributing e-gifts and tickets, the casual gift service 'giftee®,' the corporate and government service 'giftee for Business,' and the digital platform 'e-machi Platform®' for solving regional issues.

While the two companies have previously collaborated in specific gift areas, they have decided to move forward with a strategic capital and business alliance, including investment in the Company, to realize事業 synergies and achieve more powerful and speedy business advancement, recognizing the affinity of their missions and visions and their strong complementary relationship in competitive advantages.

Areas of Collaboration

Through this alliance, the two companies will strongly promote collaboration in corporate and government sectors, aiming to realize highly convenient user experiences. Starting from this, they will work across organizations with a sense of speed to create joint products and new businesses that mutually utilize their respective customer bases and business infrastructures.

Comments from Representatives

Mr. Shinichi Takatori, Representative Director and CEO, Kyash Inc. As a lifestyle service, by combining the infrastructures and customer bases of both companies, we will strive as a team to meet user needs that were difficult to realize until now and contribute to society more quickly and significantly.'
