MINASE Launches New "J Collection" in Masterpiece Series. First Model "J3" to be Released on July 24, 2026.

KYOWA Seiko Co., Ltd. (hereinafter KYOWA, Headquarters: 34-1 Mitsumori, Hayashi-zaki, Ugo-machi, Ogachi-gun, Akita Prefecture, Representative Director: Go Suzuki), a watch brand manufactured and sold by MINASE, will release the new "J Collection 'J3'" (hereinafter J3), from its Masterpiece Series, which is popular for its simple case form, in Japan on July 24.

J3 is a model that has been rebuilt based on MINASE's masterpiece M3, with a modern sensibility and a new design philosophy. It was created as a timepiece that allows customers to enjoy MINASE's unique craftsmanship and attention to detail in a simpler design. Through J3, MINASE hopes to allow more people to experience the manufacturing philosophy known as MINASE-ism.

Inheriting the origins of MINASE-ism, the masterpiece M3 is made more elegant and refined in size.

The Masterpiece "J3" was developed based on the case design of MINASE's masterpiece M3, with a new design philosophy. The case diameter has been reduced from 38.8mm to 37.4mm, and the case thickness from 10.8mm to 9.9mm. By pursuing the form in 0.01mm increments, it inherits the beautiful proportions of the M3 while achieving a more elegant and refined impression.

Its roots lie in the "Masterpiece M Series," which can be said to be the origin of MINASE watches. The M Series, born from the full utilization of KYOWA's technological capabilities as a cutting tool manufacturer, has been highly acclaimed as a collection that embodies MINASE-ism. Following "M1" and "M2," "M3" was born under the concept of "ultimate simplicity."

Subsequently, MINASE successively released the "HiZ Series" with its innovative case structure, gaining international acclaim. Meanwhile, from watch collectors and journalists, there were voices saying, "The simple aesthetics of M3 also express the spirit of MINASE." In response to such feedback, MINASE revived the "M3" in 2018 after more than a decade. And now, based on that revived model, "J3" has been developed with a new interpretation.

The Masterpiece "J3" embodies craftsmanship known as MINASE-ism. One of its symbols is Zaratsu polishing, finished by skilled artisans by hand. This polishing technique, which creates distortion-free mirror surfaces and sharp edges, is highly valued as the identity of MINASE watches. In J3, Zaratsu polishing is used on the bezel. The prominent edges and smoothly shining surfaces create a unique presence and beauty, even in this simple three-hand model. The movement is equipped with Miyota's "90S5." The pursuit of detail and beauty not found in mass-produced items is the essence of MINASE-ism.

"Light Sand Dial" Creates a Delicate Expression

The dial will be available in three colors: white, beige, and gray. The dial of J3 features a fine sand-like finish, named "Light Sand Dial." Its delicate texture, which softly receives light, creates a rich expression depending on the viewing angle. Furthermore, sharply cut indices create a beautiful contrast with the sand-like texture, giving the simple design a sophisticated three-dimensional feel. Additionally, luminous paint that glows blue is used for the indices, ensuring high visibility in low light conditions while also serving as a subtle accent.

The Masterpiece "J Collection 'J3'" will go on sale in Japan on the official website's sales page and at authorized retailers starting July 24, 2026 (Friday). Sales in overseas markets are scheduled to begin sequentially from August 2026.
