LaKeel Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Tsutomu Kubo; hereinafter 'LaKeel') announces that Fuji Yakuhin Co., Ltd. (hereinafter 'Fuji Yakuhin') has adopted its video-based training service, 'LaKeel Online Media Service,' as part of its employee education initiatives.
Fuji Yakuhin has adopted 'LaKeel Online Media Service' as a tool for occupational safety and health education for its employees. Starting in June 2026, the service will be implemented across two sites—Toyama Plant and Toyama No. 2 Plant—targeting approximately 500 employees. By leveraging this service, Fuji Yakuhin aims to foster safety awareness that translates into individual employee actions and prevent workplace accidents.
Background for Adoption
Fuji Yakuhin's Safety and Environment Group is responsible for occupational safety, health, and environmental management at its Toyama facilities, with the goal of creating a workplace where employees can work with peace of mind.
However, the company faced challenges in securing continuous educational opportunities. Traditional methods such as morning meetings, group training sessions, KYT (Kiken Yochi Training), and near-miss reporting activities tended to focus on knowledge transfer, making it difficult to translate learning into actual behavioral change.
To address this, Fuji Yakuhin decided to introduce 'LaKeel Online Media Service' to move beyond mere knowledge acquisition toward education that drives action, enhancing employees' ability to recognize everyday hazards and work toward achieving zero workplace accidents.
Three Reasons for Adoption
- Short videos of approximately three minutes each allow for seamless, continuous use even in operational settings - Intuitive understanding of 'why something is dangerous' through clear, illustrative visuals - Fosters employee empathy and insight, enabling safety to be perceived as a personal responsibility
Implementation Scenarios for 'LaKeel Online Media Service'
To seamlessly integrate continuous safety education into daily operations, Fuji Yakuhin is promoting the use of the service in the following scenarios. By consistently engaging with short videos, the company aims to solidify understanding and elevate safety awareness.
- Regular video viewing during morning meetings - Use during safety inspection days and small group activities - Simple reflection and knowledge sharing after viewing - Training focused on content directly linked to daily operations - Content optimization based on department and job function - Utilization of original videos tailored to the company's own case studies
Comment from the Implementation Lead
'We aim to shift from learning safety as mere 'knowledge' to feeling it as a personal matter. Through the adoption of 'LaKeel Online Media Service,' we hope to cultivate safety awareness that translates into individual employee actions and achieve zero workplace accidents in the coming years. Currently, we are primarily using videos on topics directly related to daily operations, such as fall prevention, back pain prevention, and point-and-call procedures. The administrative office will manage content rotation based on departmental needs and job functions. We are also considering the creation and deployment of original videos based on our own internal cases. As someone responsible for safety, I personally found the video on 'the brain that makes human errors' extremely enlightening. I would like to use these videos regularly.'
