Final Results Announced for the 6th Shueisha Shōjo & Women's Manga Grand Prix powered by LINE Manga Indies

LINE Digital Frontier Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President & CEO: Masamine Takahashi) announced today, July 13 (Monday), the final results of the manga award '6th Shueisha Shōjo & Women's Manga Grand Prix powered by LINE Manga Indies,' a collaborative original manga contest held on 'LINE Manga Indies,' the manga submission service of its digital comic platform 'LINE Manga' https://manga.line.me/, together with eight editorial departments from Shueisha's shōjo and women's manga magazines and services: 'Ribon,' 'Margaret,' 'Bessatsu Margaret,' 'Manga Mee,' 'Cookie,' 'KimiKoi,' 'Cocohana,' and 'Digital Margaret.'

The contest was held from January 22, 2026 (Thursday) to May 6, 2026 (Wednesday) on the 'LINE Manga Indies' manga submission platform, in collaboration with Shueisha's shōjo and women's manga editorial departments.

Eight prestigious editorial departments from Shueisha's shōjo and women's manga magazines and services — 'Ribon,' 'Margaret,' 'Bessatsu Margaret,' 'Manga Mee,' 'Cookie,' 'KimiKoi,' 'Cocohana,' and 'Digital Margaret' — participated in the selection process, and the final results were announced today, July 13 (Monday).

From a large number of submitted works, one Honorable Mention Prize, two Special Awards, five Name Awards, and five Encouragement Awards were selected, totaling 13 awarded works.

Review:

From the very beginning, the lively portrayal of the characters captured my heart. The realistic depiction of human expressions and inner thoughts was so carefully drawn that emotional engagement happened instantly.

Although multiple male characters appear, the author skillfully differentiates each with unique traits naturally reflected in their expressions and dialogue, making them all highly appealing.

Additionally, the inclusion of Sakurajima's volcanic eruptions in the narrative flow and background, set in Kagoshima, was particularly effective.
