Leadinx Inc. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President & CEO: Jun Kashioka; hereinafter "Leadinx"), a subsidiary of SoftBank Corp. engaged in fintech business, and Mysurance Inc. (Headquarters: Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo; President: Hirofumi Shimizu; hereinafter "Mysurance"), a subsidiary of Sompo Japan Insurance Inc. operating a small-amount, short-term insurance business, have been jointly considering and developing an "Insurance Claim AI Assistant" utilizing generative AI (Artificial Intelligence) since September 2025, with the primary goal of providing customers with easy-to-understand insurance claim services, aiming for its practical implementation. They have now commenced a proof-of-concept (hereinafter "this PoC") to verify its effectiveness in an actual business environment.
Background
In recent years, while digitalization has advanced in the insurance industry, the following challenges have become apparent in the online process for customers to file insurance claims and report accidents themselves:
(Examples)
・Many input fields for insurance claims, making it cumbersome for customers.
・Significant burden for customers unfamiliar with smartphone operations.
・Additional contact or resubmission due to insufficient information in accident reports or incomplete necessary documents.
Mysurance, given its characteristic of having all customer touchpoints, such as insurance enrollment and claims, online, and based on its stated mission, has defined its target quality as "easy to understand." To achieve an even more user-friendly insurance claim experience, Mysurance planned this initiative in collaboration with Leadinx.
Overview of this PoC
In this PoC, with a view toward practical implementation, an "Insurance Claim AI Assistant" will be built by interconnecting the following three AI agents, and its effectiveness in an actual business environment will be verified. By combining generative AI to support insurance claim procedures with AI-OCR (Artificial Intelligence Optical Character Recognition) and Large Language Model (LLM) technology for document checking, this multi-agent AI aims to simplify the insurance claim experience by assisting customers with their procedures.
① Customer Support Agent
Interviews customers in a conversational format to ascertain their needs and accident circumstances.
Organizes information in a Q&A format, reducing the customer's burden.
② Accident Reception Agent
Analyzes the content of accident reports entered by customers and checks the completeness and consistency of required items.
Supplements missing information on the spot, enhancing the completeness of information.
③ Document Review Agent
Utilizes AI-OCR and Large Language Model technology to classify and quality-check image and PDF documents.
Automatically detects missing documents or unclear images and provides feedback at the reception stage.
Roles of Each Company
・Leadinx
Provides digital insurance infrastructure and promotes insurance DX. In this PoC, Leadinx is responsible for generative AI design, AI architecture construction, and SaaS environment provision.
・Mysurance
Develops and provides digital-only insurance products and actively promotes the utilization of AI. In this PoC, Mysurance will collaborate with Leadinx on the design to improve the customer's insurance claim experience. It will also provide necessary information for verification in actual insurance payment operations, define business requirements, and verify quality through testing.
Future Outlook
Based on the verification results of this PoC, both companies will promote the advancement and functional expansion of the "Insurance Claim AI Assistant" and aim to launch it as a service available to customers, targeting practical operation within the next fiscal year.
