Lecip Corporation, a consolidated subsidiary of Lecip Holdings, has begun providing mobile tickets for a mountain bus pilot operation in Sagamihara City, Kanagawa Prefecture, starting May 9, 2026, using its 'QUICK TRIP Ticket' system designed for tourism and events.
Bus routes in Sagamihara City's mountainous areas are scheduled for cancellation by the end of March 2027, with few exceptions. While shared taxis currently operate to ensure necessary transport for local residents, the Wada Line (connecting Fujino Station to Wada) heading towards Mt. Jinba is heavily used by hikers, especially on weekends in spring and autumn. This pilot project aims to prevent hiker volume from impacting local essential transport functions and to maintain these services. Based on the results and survey feedback from this pilot, optimal operating procedures will be considered for post-April 2027.
