Lenovo announced it has once again been named to the 2026 Gartner Supply Chain Top 25, achieving its highest-ever ranking at No. 7 globally. Now in its 22nd year, the Gartner Supply Chain Top 25 is a prestigious annual ranking that recognizes the world’s leading supply chains, highlighting excellence in supply chain management and showcasing achievements across the industry. Supply chain leaders and organizations use the Gartner Supply Chain Top 25 to benchmark their performance, drive operational transformation, and strengthen competitiveness for the future. Lenovo previously ranked No. 8 in 2023, No. 10 in 2024, and No. 8 in 2025.

Strengthening Supply Chain Resilience with AI

Against a backdrop of tariffs, component shortages, and rising geopolitical tensions, global supply chains have faced unprecedented changes over the past 12 months. In this challenging environment, Lenovo has enhanced its resilience, adaptability, and large-scale execution speed by leveraging its AI-powered global supply chain infrastructure.

Over the past year, Lenovo has evolved its supply chain intelligence 'Digital Nervous System' and developed iChain, a continuous learning orchestration system that integrates and connects thousands of suppliers and over 30 manufacturing sites worldwide. iChain has delivered tangible results across Lenovo’s supply chain operations, accelerating decision-making by 60% and enabling near real-time responses to environmental changes. It has also automated 90% of network simulations, drastically reducing traditionally manual analysis that took 2–3 weeks down to just 2–3 hours.

Lenovo continues to advance its sustainability initiatives while strengthening and enhancing its supply chain to build a future-ready business foundation.

Che Min Tu, Senior Vice President and Group Operations Officer at Lenovo, said: "At Lenovo, our global supply chain has long been a cornerstone of operational excellence. Over the past 12 months, the ability to respond rapidly to changing conditions has become essential for every enterprise. By fully integrating AI into our operations, we can respond faster to customer needs and adapt flexibly to complex situations. We are not just enduring change—we are evolving into a stronger organization through it. These efforts have enabled us to maintain a competitive edge amid shifting market conditions and achieve the best annual performance in Lenovo’s history."

Tangible Business Outcomes from Resilience

This resilience has translated into solid performance results. Lenovo holds the top market share in the global PC market, with the gap between itself and the No. 2 vendor now wider than at any point in the past 15 years.

Additionally, by integrating its Infrastructure Solutions Group supply chain into its global network, Lenovo has accelerated growth in its infrastructure business, supporting record-high operating profit and profit margins.

As global supply chains grow increasingly complex, Lenovo’s model is evolving beyond its mass-production PC business, which on average comprises 2,500 components per unit. The company has built a robust system capable of meeting surging demand for AI infrastructure, enterprise solutions, and next-generation workloads. Through expanding AI server production capacity, strengthening liquid-cooled server manufacturing capabilities, and enhancing a hybrid global and local manufacturing network, Lenovo will continue to maintain and strengthen its leadership in global supply chain operations.

Lenovo’s Strategy Toward an Antifragile Global Supply Chain

Lenovo’s current supply chain spans 10 markets across Asia Pacific, China, Europe, the Middle East and Africa, North America, and South America, supported by over 30 manufacturing sites. Last year, Lenovo began construction of a new manufacturing facility in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia. Once operational, this advanced facility will produce PCs, smartphones, and servers for the Middle East and Africa markets. It will also include research and development centers and customer experience centers, along with talent development programs. Lenovo aims to support the creation of thousands of jobs in Saudi Arabia, promote technology and know-how sharing, and contribute to long-term economic value creation.

Furthermore, Lenovo’s manufacturing site in Monterrey, Mexico, has recently been recognized as one of 12 new additions to the World Economic Forum’s (WEF) Global Lighthouse Network. This network comprises 201 advanced manufacturing sites that are leaders in large-scale adoption of cutting-edge technologies. This marks the second Lenovo site to receive this recognition, following the Hefei, China facility, which was designated in January 2023.

In September 2025, Lenovo announced a major investment and expansion of employment at its manufacturing and fulfillment campus in Whitsett, North Carolina, USA. Comprising three buildings, the campus exceeds 800,000 square feet and employs approximately 1,100 people. The site handles server manufacturing, rack integration, order fulfillment, and shipping for customers across the United States.

Gartner Supply Chain Top 25 Ranking Methodology

The Supply Chain Top 25 ranking is calculated by combining business metrics and community voting with equal weighting. Business metrics consist of financial and environmental, social, and governance (ESG) indicators. Financial metrics are derived from a three-year weighted average of return on physical assets (ROPA), ROPA growth rate, revenue growth rate, and annual inventory turns. ESG metrics are based on data collected from reliable third-party sources regarding commitment, transparency, and performance across ESG domains. Community voting is determined by peer voters and Gartner experts. Peer voters select supply chains they believe are most deserving of a Top 25 position. Evaluation criteria focus on end-to-end supply chain maturity and leadership—specifically, companies that operate their supply chains as strategic assets to generate business and societal value through partnerships beyond their own organizations, while maintaining strong competitiveness in uncertain environments, receive higher scores.
