LG to Release Two 34-inch 21:9 Curved Ultra-Wide Monitors 'LG Smart Monitor AI' Starting Late July

LG Electronics Japan Inc. (President: Son Sung-joo, Head Office: Chuo-ku, Tokyo) will sequentially release two models of the 'LG Smart Monitor AI' series, featuring 34-inch 21:9 curved ultra-wide monitors, starting late July 2026 for the '34U640SB-W' and early August 2026 for the '34U620SB-B'.

The 'LG Smart Monitor AI' series is equipped with LG's unique webOS, allowing users to enjoy video streaming from services like TVer, Netflix, and YouTube without connecting to external devices such as PCs or smartphones. This new concept personal device is packed with convenient features for both work and private use.

Both models feature a 21:9 ultra-wide screen with approximately 33% more display area than standard 16:9 monitors, making them ideal for business tasks and creative work such as video editing. Of course, as they are equipped with webOS, users can enjoy web browsing and streaming content through VOD apps without connecting to a PC. Additionally, both models come with HDMI and USB ports, as well as wired LAN ports (RJ45), and the '34U640SB-W' also features a USB Type-C port (USB PD up to 90W), supporting the creation of a more comfortable workspace.

The '34U640SB-W' comes in white, while the '34U620SB-B' comes in black, allowing users to choose according to their connection environment and installation space.

Compared to standard 16:9 monitors, this 21:9 ultra-wide monitor offers approximately 33% more horizontal screen space with a 3440×1440 resolution, enabling efficient work. It allows for displaying more information at once in spreadsheet software like Excel and supports multitasking by displaying multiple applications or windows side by side.

Additionally, the 21:9 ultra-wide screen has an aspect ratio close to the Cinemascope size (2.35:1) used in many movies, allowing for full-screen enjoyment of video content. Combined with the 1800R curved display, it delivers high immersion.

Furthermore, it supports PBP (Picture-by-Picture). Even when the screen is split into two, each screen displays at a higher resolution than Full HD (1720×1440), providing a comfortable working environment when using multiple devices.

Equipped with webOS | Supports AirPlay 2 and Google Cast

Of course, it can be used as a dual monitor by connecting to a PC, but as it is equipped with LG's unique webOS, users can enjoy streaming content from over 600 VOD apps such as YouTube, TVer, Netflix, Disney+, Prime Video, Apple TV+, DAZN, FIFA⁺, and TikTok without connecting to external devices like PCs or smartphones. Web browsing on various internet services is also possible with just the monitor.

The stand supports height adjustment of up to 80mm and tilt adjustment from -5° to 15°, allowing for screen placement according to posture and usage environment.
