Hosted by Hida Sakura-za, the 'Hida Wa Festival' will be performed on Sunday, August 23, 2026, at the Hida Art Hall, Hida and World Living Culture Center, Prefectural Gifu (900-1 Chitamachi, Takayama City, Gifu Prefecture).

The 'Hida Wa Festival' will be held for the first time in Takayama, Hida!

Performances will include presentations by Japanese dance and koto music groups, along with special program stages such as 'Koto Music: From Classical to Contemporary' and 'Dance Show: Hida Dance Picture Scroll'.

At the heart of the event are artists based in Gifu Prefecture.

Leading figures include Hanayagi Kotsumi (dancer), Miwa Satomi (koto and shamisen performer), and Ichikawa Tazaburo IV, a designated inheritor of local kabuki in Gifu.
