A Conviction Woven by 55 Years of History – In the Digital Age, We Must Deliver "Live Experiences" to Children
Since its founding in 1971, KIO has delivered "authentic stage art to children" for over half a century, conducting school tours nationwide, international co-productions, and participating in international festivals. Amidst recent digitalization and changes in social conditions, the value of children experiencing live theater, sharing a space, laughing, and being moved has become more important than ever. To celebrate this milestone 55th anniversary summer, we have planned this alternating performance of two works with the strong desire for families to experience the excitement and emotion that can only be felt in a theater, at Kintetsu Art Theater, a landmark in our hometown of Osaka.
An Emotional Adventure Musical x A Hilarious Children's Play! Highlights of Two Captivating Works Performed on Alternating Days

[Synopsis] This is an adventure story about Gear, a baby elephant raised in an African elephant sanctuary, who embarks on a journey across the savanna in search of her mother's singing voice, stolen by poachers. [Highlights] Powerful music that shakes the African land. This is a moving adventure story that will bring tears to parents and children alike, posing questions about "protection" and "true freedom" through dynamic direction.
- August 16 (Sun.): Japan's Funniest Children's Play "Who Took the Egg?"
[Synopsis] This is a comedy that causes a huge commotion around a "phantom egg" that appears once every 1000 years, which has the power to transform the first thing the child of a witch, Mata, sees.
[Highlights] A non-stop comedy that elicits cries of "I want to see it again!" It is packed with interactive fun that involves the audience, ensuring not a single second is boring, and delivering an exceptionally happy time that fills the entire theater with smiles.
