Lotte City Hotel Kinshicho (Sumida Ward, Tokyo) will hold its original summer festival, "Sumida Ennichi ~Connecting with the region's craftsmanship through travel~," in conjunction with the "49th Sumida River Fireworks Festival" to be held on July 25, 2026 (Saturday).

This event, where you can enjoy your time before the fireworks begin, will offer hands-on workshops to experience the charm of "Manufacturing Town Sumida." We will provide special experiences where you can feel the local traditions and artisan culture up close, such as making mini folding screens, folding origami cranes, and trying out glass pens. Furthermore, at the "Sumida Retro Cafe Corner," we will serve "coffee floats" and "cream sodas," representative of Sumida Ward's rich downtown retro cafe culture, and also offer "fruit ice" made by shaving frozen strawberries to create a lively summer atmosphere.

This event is a special summer festival exclusively for hotel guests. It is a special summer festival planned for hotel guests to fully enjoy Japan's traditional summer attractions with the best location and hospitality, targeting both inbound foreign tourists, who have been increasing in recent years, and domestic guests who want to enjoy the Japanese summer. In cooperation with "Kataoka Byobu Ten," a folding screen specialty store that has been in business in Sumida Ward and inherits traditional techniques as the only folding screen store in Tokyo, we will hold a mini folding screen making experience. You can create a one-of-a-kind original work by drawing your favorite patterns or attaching paper crafts onto a mini-sized folding screen that can also be enjoyed as a tabletop interior.

"clarto," a glass pen brand produced one by one by hand by "Takeuchi Seisakusho," a Sumida Ward manufacturer that handles the production of heat-resistant glass for scientific and industrial use. At Sumida Ennichi, we will offer a corner where you can actually experience its delicate and smooth writing feel. You can enjoy a moment of writing down your travel and summer festival memories while experiencing the charm of the beautifully shining glass pen.

"ORIGAMI FOR CRANE" by "NACAMURA"

Origami crane folding experience with "ORIGAMI FOR CRANE" (in cooperation with NACAMURA)

We will offer an origami crane folding experience using "ORIGAMI FOR CRANE," an origami brand by "NACAMURA," a bookbinding company whose roots lie in paper cutting technology. This origami, created under the direction of artist Riko Takahashi, is characterized by its beautiful stripes and dot patterns. You can enjoy a moment of carefully folding each crane while experiencing Japanese traditional culture.

Kogane-yu Craft Beer to be offered with a hotel collaboration label (in cooperation with Kogane-yu)

"BATHE YOTSUME BREWERY craft beer," brewed by the popular Sumida Ward public bathhouse Kogane-yu, will be offered with a limited-edition "Lotte City Hotel Kinshicho collaboration label" for Sumida Ennichi (limited quantity). It is recommended to enjoy it while enjoying the festival, or while looking up at the fireworks.

Enjoy summer moments with retro food stalls and the "Sumida Retro Cafe Corner"

Sumida Ennichi will feature nostalgic food stalls to enhance the summer festival mood. In addition to classic festival corners like "cotton candy," "popcorn," and "super ball scooping," we will also have "Koala's March Yakis" that offer a crispy outside and fluffy inside texture. The lineup is designed to be enjoyed by both children and adults.

At the shaved ice bar, we will offer "fruit ice" made by shaving frozen strawberries as a perfect summer dessert. Its sweet and sour taste will bring a refreshing coolness to your summer moments.
