Mito Mayor Yasushi Takahashi stated, "Music is an important culture for the younger generation to nurture self-expression and bonds with friends. I hope this provides an opportunity for students to deepen connections across regions, including with students from Tsukuba and Hitachinaka."

Tsukuba Mayor Tatsuo Igarashi said, "Music festivals have the power to move hearts. I am glad that our desire to provide authentic cultural experiences has been realized, and I hope this will be a big trigger for students to step forward into the future."
