LVMH Métiers d'Art will host the special exhibition "WASHI ~ the art of crafting paper, where tradition unlocks innovation" at its Paris showroom, La Main, from May 28 to June 3, 2026. As the second chapter highlighting Japanese craftsmanship, this event reinterprets traditional Washi paper, exploring its cultural value and industrial potential. Featuring collaborations with international artists, brands, and artisans from Kyoto, the exhibition showcases innovative applications of Washi in fashion and interior design, including cross-crafting with different materials like silk and hemp, elevating it to a next-generation material.
