Rokid's 'Rokid Smart AI Glasses' Project Breaks Makuake Record with Over 636 Million JPY in Crowdfunding

Makuake, Inc., operator of the crowdfunding service 'Makuake,' announced that the 'Rokid Smart AI Glasses' project by Rokid inc. has raised 636,736,060 JPY, setting a new all-time record for the platform.

The project ran from February 26, 2026, to May 30, 2026. Over this three-month period, 7,413 supporters contributed, making it the highest-grossing project out of over 50,000 in Makuake's history, marking the first time the record has been broken since June 2021.

The 'Rokid Smart AI Glasses' feature real-time translation for 89 languages and voice interaction for 12 languages. Powered by multiple AI models including GPT-5 and Gemini, the glasses allow users to see information like translations and search results directly in their field of view simply by looking or speaking.

FutureModel Co., Ltd., which holds exclusive distribution rights in Japan, introduced the product to the Japanese market through this Makuake pre-sale.

The project's success was driven by active offline experience events, where users could see real-world use cases, positioning the glasses as a 'next-generation device to update daily life.'

Smart AI glasses are a rapidly growing category on Makuake, with products like 'SABERA' by jig.jp also surpassing 100 million JPY in funding. Makuake continues to support large-scale projects with dedicated curators and PR support to maximize their impact.
