Sapporo to Host 'Night's Gift Exhibition' Featuring One-of-a-Kind Works by 15 Creators Inspired by 'Night'

Manubooks Co., Ltd. (Sapporo, Hokkaido) will host the curated exhibition 'Night's Gift Exhibition' at its Gallery & Shop Uma to Shishi from Friday, July 31, 2026, to Sunday, August 9, 2026.

The exhibition will feature and sell works by 15 creators active across Japan, all inspired by imagery associated with 'night'—such as the 'moon,' 'stars,' 'celestial bodies,' 'the universe,' 'darkness and light,' and 'silence.' Many creators from outside Hokkaido will participate, offering visitors in Sapporo rare opportunities to encounter unique pieces not typically available locally.

The venue will display a diverse range of works, including accessories, glass art, paper goods, tableware, sculptures, and art pieces. Despite sharing the same 'night' theme, each creator's unique sensibility and expression will offer visitors distinct artistic worlds. All exhibited works will be available for purchase at the venue.

To match the theme of 'night,' the exhibition hours are set from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM.

This timing allows visitors to leisurely appreciate the artworks during the transition from dusk to night, and is also convenient for those stopping by after work or school. Visitors can enjoy a calm and tranquil atmosphere, different from daytime, and discover meaningful connections with the artworks.

The exhibition features 15 creators active in and outside Hokkaido.

While social media has increased awareness of creators nationwide, opportunities to physically handle, examine textures, materials, and fine details before purchasing remain limited.
