Maruzen Pharmaceuticals Introduces PPA-based Renewable Energy at Research Institute

Maruzen Pharmaceuticals Co., Ltd. began PPA-based renewable energy generation at its Research Institute in Fukuyama City, Hiroshima Prefecture, in June 2026. The company has been actively reducing greenhouse gas emissions through fuel conversion for boilers and solar panel installations. This new initiative is expected to utilize approximately 152,000 kWh of renewable energy annually, leading to a reduction of about 78.8 tons of CO2. The company is accelerating its efforts to achieve its 2030 goal of reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 46% compared to 2013 levels.
