Home-style Meal Takeout "Matilda" Holds "Summer Vacation Free Study Workshop Lab" for Fun, Five-Senses Learning Again This Year!

With the mission to "create a society where children can be innocent," Matilda Inc. (Headquarters: Koto Ward, Tokyo; Representative Director: Yuka Maruyama; hereinafter referred to as "our company"), which provides the new mid-meal service "Matilda" (hereinafter referred to as Matilda) that blends into the city, announces that it will hold the "Matilda Free Study Workshop Lab," a workshop for parents and children to help with summer vacation free studies, from Saturday, July 25, 2026, to Saturday, August 29, 2026.

Matilda's summer vacation workshop, which was a great success last year, will be held again this year with an enhanced program. In collaboration with professionals from various fields such as Poplar Publishing, Yakuzen Yaoya, Sano Miso, Tokyo Metro x ProgLab, Eitaro Sohonpo, and Ninben, we will offer six experiences that go beyond the everyday dining table, including food, manufacturing, workplace tours, and robot programming.

All workshops include a worksheet usable for free study and a souvenir. Through programs that allow children to use their hands, taste, think, and discover, we aim to deliver experiences that will lead to summer vacation free studies and conversations at the dinner table.

Target Age:

Depending on the workshop, we cater to a wide range of ages from 3 years old to elementary school students. The capacity is 24-30 children or 30-45 parent-child pairs per program. For details, please check the application page on our official LINE.

How to Participate:

You can apply from the "Summer Vacation Free Study Workshop" tab on the Matilda official LINE. Even those who have never ordered Matilda meals can apply. You can also apply for multiple workshops.

Application Period:

Applications are accepted from July 3 (Fri) to July 12 (Sun) until 23:59. Applications will not be processed on a first-come, first-served basis; if there are many applicants, a lottery will be held. Lottery results will be announced via LINE message around 16:00 on July 13 (Mon). You can apply for multiple workshops, but if a lottery is held, you will generally be selected for only one workshop.

* There is no guarantee that you will be selected for any workshop. * If there are workshops that do not reach capacity, it may be possible to participate in multiple. Workshops with available slots or cancellations after the application period will be available for purchase on a first-come, first-served basis from 16:00 on July 13 (Mon).

Background and Vision for the Event

Under our mission of "creating a society where children can be innocent," our company has been working to create experiential value that allows children to find small joys in their daily lives through the provision of home-style meals. In last year's free study workshop, we received a great response for the experience where parents and children could work with their hands, learn from experts, and take home what they made.

This year, we have further enhanced our popular summer vacation workshop from last year, with the theme "A Summer Vacation for Fun Learning with the Five Senses!" We have prepared programs that allow children to deepen their learning with their own hands, such as character creation with a picture book author, making medicinal curry and mango lassi, making miso, robot programming, Japanese confectionery making, and bonito flake shaving experiences.

All workshops include worksheets for free study and souvenirs, aiming to provide experiences that connect to family mealtimes and free studies even after participation. Matilda will continue to go beyond the framework of home-style meals and expand opportunities for exciting experiences for children and their families in collaboration with various companies and organizations.
