Meiji Kinenkan stands proudly in a corner of Meiji Jingu Gaien. In the 14th year of Meiji (1881), it was built as a dining hall to entertain distinguished guests from various countries at the former Akasaka Imperial Palace. Later, it was relocated to its current site and opened on November 1, Showa 22 (1947) as Meiji Jingu's reception facility. Since then, over 230,000 couples have held their weddings here, and it has accommodated various events such as MICE and parties. It is also used as a facility where guests can enjoy its restaurants and cafes.
