Diners Club France Patisserie Week is an annual nationwide celebration of French pastries, held since 2021 at patisseries and hotels across Japan.

This year's theme is 'Charlotte,' a classic French dessert. Participating establishments are showcasing original creations inspired by the theme, highlighting the charm and artistry of French confectionery.

Meiji Kinenkan's 'Charlotte Fruits' is a limited-time dessert crafted to introduce more guests to the deliciousness of traditional French sweets. It combines a variety of fruits with creamy cheese mousse, creating a harmonious balance between the refreshing acidity of the fruits and the rich, smooth texture of the mousse. The result is an elegant and visually vibrant dessert.

In addition to takeout sales at the on-site Pastry Shop, guests can enjoy 'Charlotte Fruits' for dine-in at a temporary café (tea room) operating during the event period. This is a wonderful opportunity to savor a traditional French dessert created by Meiji Kinenkan's skilled pastry chefs.

【About Meiji Kinenkan】

https://www.meijikinenkan.gr.jp/

The main building of Meiji Kinenkan was completed in 1881 (Meiji 14) as the 'Akasaka Temporary Imperial Palace Dining Hall' at the site of the current State Guest House. In 1888 (Meiji 21), it served as the venue for the imperial conference to deliberate the draft of the 'Meiji Constitution,' where Emperor Meiji attended in person. Due to this historical significance, the main building is also known as the 'Constitution Memorial Hall.'

After being relocated to its current site, it has hosted nationally and socially significant events, including the 30th anniversary ceremony of the promulgation of the Constitution, the 50th anniversary of the Imperial Rescript on Education, general meetings of the Japanese Red Cross Society and the Patriotic Women's Association, and commemorative events by the Jiseikai.

In 1947 (Showa 22), it opened as a comprehensive wedding venue under the name 'Meiji Kinenkan,' celebrating the new beginnings of over 230,000 couples. Today, it is used not only for weddings but also for MICE events such as parties and conferences, commemorative events like celebrations and life milestone ceremonies, and dining experiences at its restaurant and kaiseki restaurant.

In 2020 (Reiwa 2), the historical and architectural value of the main building was recognized, and it was designated as a Tangible Cultural Property by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government.
