Meiko Mirai to Hold Special Summer Event; Official Ambassador Shoko Nakagawa and QuizKnock's Toki to Appear

Meiko Mirai Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Kazuki Obata; hereinafter "Meiko Mirai") will hold a special summer event in 2026 featuring lectures by QuizKnock's Toki and our official ambassador, Shoko Nakagawa. Both individuals have experienced school refusal and are currently active in various fields. This is a valuable opportunity to deliver a direct message to children who do not want to go to school, cannot go to school, or are looking for a place to belong, as well as to their guardians.

There are approximately 350,000 students nationwide experiencing school refusal, accounting for about 4% of all children. To provide the option of "places to learn and places to strive outside of school," Meiko Mirai is offering this event free of charge on both days. In addition to the venue in Tokyo, Meiko Freeschools across the country will be open as satellite venues.

[Part 1] QuizKnock Toki Lecture

Date and Time: August 2, 2026 (Sun) from 2:00 PM

Lecture Theme: "How I Navigate My World"

Toki Profile

Born in 2001. Graduated from the Faculty of Letters, University of Tokyo. Started quizzing in junior high school with his twin brother, Tomon. They won the "High School Quiz Championship" as teammates. Joined QuizKnock in 2022 and currently appears in YouTube videos, as well as handling PR for events as a public relations representative. Also active on TV programs such as "Todai Ou" and "Daidensha Tetsuro no Kuizu Ho~ School." Achieved his first victory on "Qさま!!" in February 2025.

Shoko Nakagawa Profile

Born in Tokyo. Active in various fields as a singer, talent, voice actor, actress, and illustrator. In 2019, she published the book "Don't You Dare Die!! You Who Are Being Bullied Are Absolutely Not Wrong," and messages with impact, such as the passage "Antenna of the Heart" from the book, have been included in junior high school moral education textbooks (for the 2025 academic year), drawing attention. Gave birth to twin boys in September 2025.

About Satellite Venues

For both lectures, Meiko Freeschools nationwide will be open as satellite venues to host events where participants can watch the lecture broadcast together. Class Japan is an online freeschool established in 2018. Each student is accompanied by a homeroom teacher who supports them in studying at their own pace. In addition to academics, it is a new place for students experiencing school refusal, with club activities that foster strengths in areas such as esports, programming, and illustration. To date, we have supported over 1,500 children. We are working to create an environment that enables social independence and participation, ensuring that school refusal does not become a disadvantage when choosing future career paths.
