[Minamichita Beach Land] Birthday Rush! "Sea Lion Birthday Festival" to be Held from June 13

Minamichita Beach Land (Okuda, Mihama-cho, Chita-gun, Aichi Prefecture; Director: Mamoru Ishido) will host the "Sea Lion Birthday Festival" from June 13 (Sat) to July 14 (Tue), 2026, to celebrate the consecutive birthdays of the California sea lions living at the park.

The festival will feature four special events, including the first event for "Ichiha," born at the park in June 2025, who will celebrate her first birthday on June 14 (Sun). Other highlights include a special birthday version of the sea lion show featuring the popular "Yotsuba," and a panel exhibition titled "Sea Lion Family Tree" that traces the connections between the nine sea lions spanning three generations living at the park. We invite guests to enjoy these special events that showcase the adorable charm of our sea lions and the precious family bonds we have nurtured over the years.

"Sea Lion Birthday Festival" Event Overview

1. Ichiha's Feeding Time "Ichiha," who turns one on June 14 (Sun), will make her event debut in front of guests! Visitors can watch her eating with energy, while zookeepers explain the behind-the-scenes stories of her birth and her growth process. 2. Yotsuba's Birthday Sea Lion Show This is a special version of the show celebrating "Yotsuba," who turns 11 on June 17 (Wed). 3. Feed Knight - Special Birthday Ver. - This event celebrates "Knight," who turns 15 on June 18 (Thu). Guests can enjoy a feeding experience with three fish instead of the usual two as a celebratory treat. Additionally, on her birthday (June 18), a commemorative photo session with Knight will be held. 4. Panel Exhibition: "Proud Sea Lion Family" This exhibition presents the family tree of the nine California sea lions currently living at Beach Land, accompanied by precious photographs. It is a special exhibition filled with history and bonds that only we can present, having carefully raised these sea lions across three generations.
