'Tokyo Heat Countermeasure Goods Contest' winners announced!

In recent years, the risk of heatstroke has been increasing annually due to the impact of climate change and extreme heat. The Tokyo Metropolitan Government is promoting 'Tokyo Cool Biz' to balance smart energy conservation with a comfortable lifestyle, and as part of this, held the 'Tokyo Heat Countermeasure Goods Contest.' For this contest, 12 products selected by experts were subject to a public vote from May 1st to May 10th. Based on the votes of 29,250 residents, grand prize winners were selected in four categories: Shade Creation, Hydration/Salt Supplement, Body Cooling/Regulation, and Measurement/Monitoring. The winning goods will be exhibited at the 'Extreme Heat Countermeasure Exhibition' to be held at Tokyo Big Sight from July 15th to 17th.
