The First Step for Young Talents Aiming for Global Success and Presentation in Paris

Tokyo Metropolitan Government hosts two fashion contests to discover and nurture fashion designers with global aspirations: "Next Fashion Designer of Tokyo/NFDT" for students residing or studying in Tokyo, and "Sustainable Fashion Design Award/SFDA" for students and amateur designers residing, studying, or working in Tokyo, utilizing materials such as kimono fabric.

We are pleased to announce that an exhibition of works by the 14 award recipients for fiscal year 2025 will be held from June to July at the commercial facilities "Tokyu Plaza Shibuya" and "Tokyu Plaza Omotesando Harajuku." (Admission Free, No Reservation Required)

At the venues, the original works selected through judging by Paris Collection designers and public voting at the final screening in March will be gathered.

You can see a variety of fresh sensibilities from young designers who will carry the future of Japanese fashion.

Additionally, introduction boards summarizing the design points will be placed next to the works. By understanding the background of the creation process, visitors can feel closer to the works.
